CELEBRITY EVENT
WILMINGTON, NC – Award-winning author Sophy Burnham is
coming to Wilmington September 29th-30th
to raise funds for the Bargain Box of Wilmington, an
outreach ministry of the Episcopal church whose proceeds
benefit more than 50 community agencies. Author of 13
books including children’s books as well as numerous
articles, Sophy has distinguished herself as a writer,
investigative journalist, playwright, and spiritual
teacher. Her works include New York Times
bestsellers, The Art Crowd, A Book of Angels, and
Angel Letters. The Path of Prayer was a Literary
Guild Selection named one of the 50 best books of the year
by Spirituality and Health magazine. A frequent
public speaker and presenter, Sophy has appeared on
Oprah, Larry King Live, CBS Morning News, Good Morning
America, and The Today Show. Now she is making
her way to Wilmington for a fundraising weekend which will
directly benefit the Bargain Box in its effort to purchase
the current facility.
Sophy Burnham will offer a Friday evening
presentation at St. James preceded by a wine and hors
d’oeuvres reception at the historic Murchison House on
Front Street
and followed
by a book sale and signing. On Saturday Sophy will
present a morning workshop. For tickets and further
